The Skinny Mini: your 2-minute Sunday read
Happy Sunday! Today, we’re trying something a little different: The Skinny Mini, which will take you exactly 1.5 minutes to read. This is designed to help enhance your Sunday by inspiring you to enjoy the day with activities that simply make you feel good. As one of our subscribers told us: “You’re like my favorite magazine, just without all the annoying pop-up ads.”
We’d love to know what you think of The Skinny Mini! If you can, we’d be so appreciative if you can let us know your thoughts by clicking on this one-second poll. You can also reply to this email if you have additional feedback on what types of topics you’d like to see less, or more of.
Do you like the idea of the 'Skinny Mini,' a very short, Sunday edition? |

The Skinny: We love this story from The Kitchn about the three “rules of brunch” which include invitations extended to “Mary and Mimosa,” and that it must be an experience (as opposed to just a meal).
Tips:
Set a festive table
Theme with a soundtrack (here is our suggested brunch playlist)
Debut these 20-minute summer brunch recipes here, (and while there are 14 of ’em, we have our eye on the waffle sandwich and the naan pizza). Send us a photo if you try them!

Plus, the buzz of a great bargain
The Skinny: A study out this month caught our attention: while many people experience a “high” after scoring a great deal, this research revealed exactly how long that bargain buzz lasts, and the magic number for a deal to be really worth it.
Finally, the study also showed that over a half would buy something they don’t need just to get the deal…a great eye-opener to always check yourself before hitting send. That being said, if you’re shopping for things you truly need, we have all the links to the best sales this weekend:
