Tennis, anyone?
How to dress (and drink) the part

The Skinny: In celebration of the 2024 U.S. Open, and the fact that social games like tennis are great for your mental and physical health (including a claim that tennis is the world’s healthiest sport), here is our mini guide on how to ace the trend.
We spotted Fila’s new Casa Fila collection yesterday while walking by Racquet Magazine’s pop-up in Rockefeller Center…and, with its Italian heritage x country club to nightclub vibe, what’s not to love? We have already proudly purchased Tito’s golf apparel for a friend, so you can imagine how excited we were to see that Aperol has a new tennis collection.
Now, the perfect cocktail to serve: naturally, a refreshingly pink Honey Deuce, complete with melon ball garnish.

Add to cart: For the guys, a linen Faherty shirt, these court sneakers from adidas (in lots of color ways), and a Lacoste stretch cotton polo.
Ladies, we can recommend a Sweaty Betty skirt, this KULE graphic sweatshirt, Lacoste dress, and a Varley Relaxed Knit Cardigan.

Frittatas, made easy

The Skinny: Sunday, brunchday. This headline, “The Only Frittata Recipe You’ll Ever Need,” caught our attention. Not only do we prefer frittatas over quiche (yummy and savory, but requiring a crust) and omelets (too complicated and are either perfect or terrible). Frittatas have a delicious crust, are best made in our favorite pot, the cast-iron pan, and – as this article points out – can be used for fridge clean-up. So they feel extra delicious, knowing that you’re not wasting food.

The eggplant’s mysterious secrets

The Skinny: In a fruit and vegetable cast of characters, eggplant is the sultry, mysterious lover. Even its family, “nightshade,” makes you want to duck into a roadside motel and fire up a cigarette. There are 10 varieties (including Japanese and Chinese, each with its own nutritional profile), each more fascinating than the next. And even though you thought it was a vegetable, no question, it has a secret to reveal: It’s technically a berry.
Eggplants are in season right now, but aside from our love of their personality, cooking them can be intimidating beyond the traditional eggplant parm comfort food that is decidedly not summery. Not to mention, the very real fear of them becoming soggy, or even worse, “sodden,” as this article about how to prevent eggplant from absorbing too much oil points out. But wait! You can make baba ganoush, which actually looks pretty easy thanks to this story from the Mediterranean Dish.
And Real Simple, who we simply trust more than most, has this list of super easy eggplant recipes (disclosure: not all are summer recipes, but you’ll find what you need).
We also can’t get enough of Israeli street food, so here is a recipe for a Sabich Sandwich where, naturally, eggplant plays a starring role.
This cannabis startup pioneered “rapid onset” gummies
Most people prefer to smoke cannabis but that isn’t an option if you’re at work or in public.
That’s why we were so excited when we found out about Mood’s new Rapid Onset THC Gummies. They can take effect in as little as 5 minutes without the need for a lighter, lingering smells or any coughing.
Nobody will ever know you’re enjoying some THC.
We recommend you try them out because they offer a 100% money-back guarantee. And for a limited time, you can receive 20% off with code FIRST20.

This week’s newsfeed
Keeping it real local: As one of us is a diehard Ski the East supporter, we love this news that Killington is being sold to a group of investors-slash-longtime resort enthusiasts.
It’s a fact: dogs are good for your health! And for your cute dog video fix…our pup going full barrel in a wave.
INBOX: More on the color brown later, but a subject hed for a new “Wetlands” collection from Yeti intrigued us enough to click. Yes while we expected a unique, wetlands-y pallette of blues and greens, it was this color instead.
